Katie and Steve ~ Wedding ~ St. John – Valdosta, Ga.

Howdy Blog Peeps!

Last Saturday, Lisa and I shot the wedding of Steve and Katie, here in Valdosta at St. John’s Church.   The weather was perfect, the wedding party was open for pretty much everything, and there was a massive turn-out of folks to see them get married!  Let’s see some images from the day, eh?

(Fair warning, some of these images are quite large size-wise – so allow some time for them to load)

Katie’s dress was awesome – and she was workin’ it.;-)

I told you that Katie was working that dress.  Seriously.

Katie and her Ladies showing some sass!

Some quiet time during Steve and Katie’s First Look…

Did I mention that Steve can bust out the mackin’ when he needs to?  Yeah.  He can.

Did I also mention that Steve is a Star Wars fan?  Just ’cause a man digs the Trilogy – doesn’t mean he can’t land a hottie, or start some s#@& with his Jedi brethren.  Word.

There was nothing but laughter throughout the day.  You’ve got to love a wedding party who’ll take off their shoes (and drop their sabers) for a shot…

Katie and Steve fell in love while attending VSU.  They wanted some shots there since Steve’s military training precluded an engagement session…  BAM!

Nice looking bunch of ladies and Jedi…

Katie’s Dad walking her down the aisle…

Not only did Katie’s Dad walk her down the aisle – he also performed her wedding ceremony…

Behold the Kiss!

Lisa always gets a little weepy during the Father-Daughter dance…

Oh, there was other dancing.  I do believe some people got served.

Bustin’ out with the Bubble Exit…

Your full gallery will be up next week!

Joelle and Brent ~ Engagement ~ Pavo Georgia

‘Sup Blog Stalkers!

Meet Brent and Joelle.  As South Georgia Wedding Photographers, Lisa and I shoot a lot of engagements and weddings.  We normally find the grooms-to-be somewhat reserved in their enthusiasm during the picture taking process.  Until Brent.  The man is an image producing beast.  We couldn’t throw a shot idea at Brent that he didn’t like – nor did he have any problems coming up with stuff on his own.  Joelle was right there with him though – in the tick infested overgrowth, the deserted buildings, the potential trespassing…    We all had a great time.

Brent and Joelle bustin’ it out…

As always – smoochin’ did occur…

This shot was inspired by their current Facebook avatar.

Back to the heroic action posing…

Just chilling in a field on the side of the road…

And then there was some more smoochin’ in the field by the side of the road…

Some outtakes from trying to shoot a serious Mom-loving portrait.  Joelle and Brent are made for each other folks – trust us!

Thanks for the laughs you two!   We’re looking forward to seeing you at Gin Creek in April!

Jessica and John ~ Engagement ~ Savannah Georgia

Last Saturday, Lisa and I (and Seth!) – busted a move, and traveled to Savannah to shoot Jessica and John’s engagement session, along with a ultra-awesome bridal session with Jessica in Forsyth Park.  Some of these images are large (bask in their glory) – so this blog post might take a bit to load (even on a fast connection).

An almost required (by law) couple shot by the fountain in Forsyth Park.  Interesting note - we ran into the Savannah Wedding Police during our Bridal shoot here (along with about 80 photographers).  It’s an interesting city.

This was near the end of a long day of shooting – and they still look fab.;-)

Stylin’ in Savannah.  Behind Jessica and John is the famous Wesley Monumental Methodist Church - where the couple will be getting married in March.

Some smoochin’ in one of the Squares…

A classic shot from us in the Church’s balcony…

The good captain here made several offers that Jessica and John wisely refused…

Some bling action from the bridal session (sorry, can’t post any more of those until the wedding!)

Ya’ll did a great job. Special thanks to Mrs. Tucker for helping us lug all of our equipment around the city (on foot). She was a trooper! We can’t wait for March 27th!

Thanks so much Tony and Lisa (and Seth). I love the photos already. I can’t wait to see more. I really enjoyed working with you guys. You’re so laid-back and down to earth. You really made me feel relaxed so that I could enjoy this special experience. I can’t say enough about your work- I’m just happy I was able to snag you guys for the big day. Thanks again for posting these so quickly so I could sneak a peak. I can’t wait to see more and I look forward to seeing you guys on the wedding day. Take care!

Melissa and Brandon ~ Engagement ~ Dixie Georgia

Hi All!

Meet Melissa and Brandon – one of our great couples getting married in March of this year.  You would have seen them last month – but Mother Nature has been playing havoc with our session schedules!  No matter, the wait was worth it.  Brandon did some serious GQ posing, while Melissa busted out the sass.   These two have a great chemistry – Lisa and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!  Here are some images from their session:

We’ll see you guys in March!

Emily and Clint ~ Engagement ~ Thomasville, Ga.

Hi All,

Last Saturday we froze in the morning with Beth and Josh – and later that afternoon we continued to freeze with Emily and Clint in the big city of Thomasville, Ga.   You would have thought it would have warmed up by then..

Anyway, Clint and Emily shrugged off the need for warmth… burning up the streets of Thomasville with their passion:)  Okay – I’m taking a bit of dramatic license there - but anyone who spends time with them can tell you that they seriously love each other.   Lisa and I tried to keep them distracted from their increasing chances of frostbite by keeping them laughing.   It mostly worked.    They did a great job, and even maintained their stoic resolve when I asked them to get out in the middle of the busy street… ’cause it would be cool (no pun).   Let’s take a look at some teasers from their session!

Sure – the sun is providing a sweet rim light – yet no warmth.  They suffer for their love!

A little dramatic movie poster style action…

So, I guess I should admit that Lisa and Emily were right about this image – but I’m not going to.  That’s how I roll.

What time is it?  Well, Thomasville doesn’t want you to know apparently.  It was around 3:40PM when we shot this.  Clint and Emily?  Looking fabulous!

Aversion Therapy in the Field…

In Image A – the subject (Clint) is asked to use his best line to ‘mack on Emily.  Clint pulls out something like “Yo, Baby – are you tired?”…  (results in a suspicious look from Emily)…  ” ’cause you’ve been running through my mind all night!”   Emily, of course, immediately lays the smack down on the subject.

Valdosta Weddings

In Image B – we see the subject (Clint) and Emily both happy that her application of basic Aversion Therapy has been successful!  Lisa’s external praise (such as – “THAT’S HOW YOU DO IT!”) to Emily’s action was uttered to reward her well timed choice of layin’ down the law.  I, as the observer, only record the events.   I do note that Clint has a long course of this type of therapy to go through (I’m on year 16).

With this training regimen established, Clint and Emily will reach self-actualization (‘natch Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs) together in complete harmony!

We’re looking forward to the wedding guys!
